Bottle @ Le Grand Cafe de Lyon, Nice. Pale golden with a carbonation. Strong tasting but not as much as 12% might suggest. Fairly ordinary lager.

I had no idea what to expect from this as I purchased it at random from a French supermarket. I didn’t dislike it, but it bears little resemblance to a lager and is only just a member of the beer family. It’s clear orange, with no head and an oily texture. Smells, and tastes, like a diluted spirit - something like Southern Comfort in flat lemonade. If someone had offered me this as the locally made spirit, l’d probably have been quite happy. As a beer - average.
