The aroma is slightly sweet yet bitter and salty with an odd grassiness and a little alcohol. The flavor is slightly sweet and malty with a touch of odd grassy notes and some alcohol. Not very good. Full bodied, slightly warming and surprisingly smooth. tomxcs (315), Golden, Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jan 18, 2005 Crisp golden color, totally transparent, with some streamers and a very small head leaving lace. Aroma insignificant. A little malt, a little sting from the alcohol vapors...otherwise much like a cleaner, more pleasant American lager. Taste is very bland with a little sweetness and _tons_ of alcohol. Warming sensationg. Good drying alcohol character. The mouthfeel is just about the best part of this beer, though watery. After quite a bit of wine with my meal...this knocked me on my ass! Other than that, it’s like Heineken on steroids. Needs a lot more body with appropriate hops if you’re going to make a 12% beer. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2005 This beer poured a golden orange w/ yellow hues, very slight head and okay lacing... Flowers and citrus w/ slight soury fruit and alcohol sweetness on the nose... a caramel/raisin note, hints of soury fermented fruit and citrus, but the alcohol flavor takes away from all of the other flavors that try to peek through. The mouthfeel was creamy w/ slight aggressive tanginess and light bodied. Dorqui (1359), Brescia, Italy

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 22, 2004 Looks like a typical golden color beer. Aroma is mostly grain and alcohol. Tastes pretty strong. Like a bad lager with vodka added or something. ogivlado (3068), Zagreb, Croatia

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 7, 2004 I was expecting this to be yet another foul french brew, and the the reviews didn’t make me more optimistic about it... Looks like a regular lager, even nice for a lager, pretty golden colour, white quickly diminishing head, nice lacing. Smells fruity, couldn’t place it at first, but plum might be it. Tastes suprisingly smooth for such a beer, the alcohol is evident but not overbearing, a bit sweet, but not too much. Not really good, but not really bad. kayrus (8), Italy does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2004 This is my favourite Gayant’s beers. Yes, alcohol is too evident, but it’s quite good.
