A yellow beer with a fine whtie lazing collapsing head. The aroma is very sweet malty with notes of alcohol and plums. The flavor is also very sweet alcohol and malt with notes of apricot. It warms You up a lot.

Ugly clear golden yellow with massive upward migration of bubbles. Aroma is bizarre: STRONG chlorine and really just smells like a pool in general. You soon come to realize that the slight burning sensation in your nostrils is the massive alcohol content. Flavor is also strange: quite sweet and very corny and quite medicinal. It's like taking medicine, but most doctors would agree that this medicine's not good for you. Finishes with a burn and a distinct wafting of the alcohol through your senses. Quite sickening, in fact.

The only really extraordinary thing about this beer is that its massive alcohol content is barely noticeable. It comes over as an easy drinking, but bland, golden lager. Very deceptive, and dangerous. I guess it would be fun to give to friends who don't drink much and take bets on how long before they fall over. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends like that. Bottled, France, December 2003.

(Bottle 1 year over dated) Malty and fruity nose, apples. Bit cider-like. Okay. Pale golden coloured, no head. Looks cheap. Taste consists of apples, is sweet and just a bit alcoholic. Alcohol is well masked. Belly warming beer. Palate is however more alcoholic. I had this one when I came out of the freezing cold and well this beer tasted actually quite okay for the circumstances.

Bottle. Very pale color (pils like) with just a few white bubbles sitting on top. Aroma is sweet. Taste is too sweet with big malt flavors that turn to a sacharine aftertaste mixed with alcohol. It then turns into a watered down cheap whiskey.

Head collapses qucily. Nose of malt and alcool, almost like colt 45. Unpleasantly sweet, with lots of alcool in the mouth...some little barrell notes at the end, which gives it extra points...sucks!

Unimpressive malty nose, a bit toffee, alcohol evident. Amber color, unstable head, low carbonation. Surprisingly neutrally flavored, oily slippery mouthfeel, alcohol afterburner. This beer is strong for the sake of strong and nothing more, if I want to get drunk fast I'd rather sip a bit on a cask strength whisky instead.

I was really wondering what this would taste like. Practically all reviews burned this beer to the ground, and considering the 12% ABV i doubted if there would be any additional flavours beyond the alcohol. The bottle i had was quite some years old (beyond BB). Aroma, hmm not very strong, but the alcohol isn't overwhelming, could be a good thing. First sip... not much flavour. Second sip, third sip... Practically no flavour! Very weird. I guess it does a good job in hiding the alcohol, but there are just no outspoken flavours. Not disgusting, but just nothing special.
