cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Jun 1, 2007 light golden colour, very fruity nose, light but rich fruity hop, sharp light citric sour in linger. boto (1319), Granby, Connecticut, USA May 28, 2007 33cl bottle: This one pours an absolutely clear golden color with a bit of a white head on it. The head drops off rather quickly, despite some fizziness. The aroma is thinner, with some fruit and alcohol notes. Some malty smell also. The taste is rather harsh, although somewhat sweet. There is also alcohol up front. Some malt notes. Overall, this is not offensive, but not very good either. I feel that the only purpose of this brew is to get you trashed. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy May 6, 2007 Bottle: Poured a golden amber with thin off white head. Aroma is berry of some sort. The flavor is berry fruit malt. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Apr 6, 2007 Golden color, small white head. Malty alcohol aroma. Malty strong flavor, alcohol is there but not dominating. Malty alcohol finish. DruncanVeasey (2689), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Mar 16, 2007 Deep, foaming lagery amber with clumpy white froth. Sugary malt nose with a great big slug of metal. Smooth, lagery, chewy, drinkably insipid. Some liquor-like boozy malt at the end, but little of interest. Crying out for an infusion of hops or spice. Probably needs to be drank out of a brown paper bag on a park bench shouting about the Tunisians to be properly appreciated. Hold on a minute.....the ears are flushing......the fingertips tingling.....it’s a world classic. almopina (87), Madrid, Spain Jan 27, 2007 Clear golden color with a thin creamy white head with good lacing. Should have more carbonation in my opinion. Smells malts, grain and apples. Flavor of sweet malt (almost sherry like) and alcohol. Loads of alcohol (too much of a presence). Soft mouthfeel. Alcoholic aftertaste. Overall, an interesting beer, enyoable if you drink it slowly, with a bit too much of alcoholic prensence. Best served extremely cold (I guess). It is nice though to be able to find lagers that strong. madsberg (4868), Søborg, Denmark Nov 24, 2006 Bottled. Golden. unclear. Small off white head. Dense aroma of ripe fruits (apples) and alcohol. Some marzipan. Flavour is very sweet and almost sherry like. Again loads of alcohol notes. Quite smooth mouthfeel. Meduím bodied. Ends on a sharp alcholdominated note. Not a winner in my book. Might get you buzzed though. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Nov 22, 2006 Updated: Mar 17, 2009Blonde colour, small head.the aroma is too much alcoholic, and so is the to sweetish flavour. Not a great beer, but one of the best if you want to get drunk quickly...
