Mostly clear chestnut color, with basically no head. Aroma is sweet, with cola and brown sugar notes, and a slight spice. Taste is relatively the same, but it’s a little too sweet, with a slightly vomity edge. $4/750

from Au Grain d’Orge, Neuchâtel - clear and bright red-amber beer with a moderate foam left; aroma of caramel and ripe fruits, gentle spicyness; sweet, full-bodid and light sticky; residual sweetness in an aftertaste of apples and undefined spices; light chewy texture - not much character

250 ml bottle. BB 23/09/16. From saveur-biere.com.
Clear coppery amber colour with a tiny off-white head. Yeast, sweetness, toffee, mild spices and mild maltiness in the aroma. The flavour is dark sugary and malty with brown sugar, burned sugary notes, nutty dryness, mild spices and some hoppy bitterness. Quite balanced.

Ambré bien tenu, rondeur sucrée, sur fruits mûrs, plutôt bonne même si un poil écoeurante en bouche à mon goût. Bouteille achetée en grandes surfaces, France, bue le 06/01/2015.

Marstonlad (576) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 29, 2014
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours clear copper with a fairly big and frothy head. The aroma mostly features grainy, hayish maltiness complemented with toasty notes, fruitiness and some earthy yeastiness. Taste is light to medium sweet, displaying well both malty and yeasty notes. Grain and cereal are coupled with spicy notes and a somewhat Belgian barnyard element. There is also a metallic undertone not usually found in Belgian ales. The palate is surprisingly light-bodied with a lively carbonation. Not perfect but not a bad tasting experience either.
