2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 PalCabral (35) - SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours clear golden with a thick foamy head that stays for a while and never competely disappears. It’s a pretty beautiful beer to look at, poster style. Aroma is discretely malty. With the build-up the taste is unfortunately a slight set back, it’s malty but with some bitterness claiming attention. It’s unbalanced, where the malt sweetness should be there’s an unpleasant bitterness, I guess Brewers Gold. Medium-full in the mouth. A beer that is great to look at but not as great to drink.

Blond body with an off-white creamy head. Fresh aroma of hops and bit yeasty: lightly caramel. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Well balanced and refreshing. Nice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 _angst_ (513) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 7, 2011
Bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on October 7. Pours a clear deep golden colour with a big white head that dissipates rather quickly while leaving lots of traces on the glass. Smell is sweet, malty and a little stale. It’s rather subtle but I can detect honey, grass, spices and bread. Taste is very metallic with lots of iron. It’s slightly sweet and rather malty with some dried fruit and yeast. Finish is dry and metallic.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 dtborelli (322) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 4, 2011
Gayant
Goudale
Pours medium gold with a medium long lasting white head. Aroma of bananas and bread with some white wine and a slight herby grassiness. Flavor is yeasty and bready with a dry finish. Slightly metallic, but that waned as it warmed. Not a standout.
