3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dkoonce (905) - People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA - OCT 24, 2008
Can. I guess it’s not aged that long. Clear amber, only slightly darker than a pale lager, with a thick, white head. Malt aroma, with some rich caramel and roasted notes. Sweet, heavy and full body. Finishes a bit sweet and long. But, a distinct style I’ve not explored before.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Borresteijn (2596) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 21, 2008
75cl Bottle @ home. Beautiful golden/copper orange colour, fluffy white head. Aroma of hops, grain, esters and some cardboard. Flavour is grainy, slightly hoppy, a bit pale lager/malt liquor like, metallic. Alcoholic and slightly bitter finish. A bit thin. Not very impressive.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JonnyDr (132) - , Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2008
Pale amber beer. Light, fruity aroma with small white head. Nice light carbonation. Spicy and fruity with slightly metallic finish. OK.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Kinz (2694) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 4, 2008
Light orange in appearance, decent head. Aroma was bready, yeasty, and faintly floral. Flavor was essentially a match initially. As it warmed, a faintly phenolic note came out, just a touch of rubber over top of clove. Sort of like a Belgian ale meets a very meek hefe. Not bad, but sort of forgettable in some ways.

Lively head and an opaque orange-gold color. Some large-bead lacing. Aromas of peach and paper, developing a yeasty must. Semi-sweet and juicy tart fruit -- apricot, peach and lemon, made bright by alcohol. Medium weight. Plenty of carbonation and character.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 cab (866) - DENMARK - SEP 27, 2008
Bottle. Old rating. Golden clear colour with thinnish white head. head that left nice lacing on the glass. Well balanced between malt, hop and yeast aromas.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cornfield (5240) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2008
Bottle: This poured a clear bronze body with a substantial head and plenty of lacing. The aroma was sweet pale malt, orchard fruit, and a light floral bouquet. This is not a very complex drink, tasting much as it smelled, but it was somehow satisfying. Throughout the higher ABV was well hidden.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Trooper11 (468) - Suffolk, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2008
Huge foamy monster head atop a clean filtered amber brew. Great inviting aroma. Fresh grassy with a hint of alspice. Good body, sweet at first taste but subtle spice and warmth.
