3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle. Refined appearance with lasting head and lace. Well balanced between malt, hop and yeast aromas. Some fruity and spicy fusels. Moderately sweet body with a touch of acidity in the finish and some roughness round the edges. The flavours could do with being a bit more robust to cope with the roughness.

Bottle, at home.
Light amber with large white frothy head, mostly diminishing. Good lacings. Moderate malty aroma (caramel) and light flowery of hops. Flavor first moderate sweet ending in moderate bitterness. A wellbalanced taste. Light to medium body, oily, soft carbonated. The strength is felt.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a clear medium yellow ale with a medium head with better then average retention. Aroma is quite different then what I’m used to with some barnyard aspect and something quiet salty that I cannot instantly recognize. Taste is also quite salty but at the same time refreshing. Spices are a bit scarce for my liking and body if definitely too thin for a bière de garde but there is still something I like in this beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle-conditioned, 750mL. Clear orange-golden color, sparkling frothy head with lots of lace -- beautiful although plain-looking beer. Flowery aroma, somewhat spicy. Reminiscent of a Belgian strong ale. Hoppy, spicy flavor. Not very malty but with a nice sweetness. Dry aftertaste and nice lastying hop bitterness. Body was a little thin. Went well with a homemade merguez quiche due to the spicy nature and alcoholic body that cut through the cheese and sausage fats. A good, simple, drinkable, and widely-available French beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice golden body topped with a thick but diminishing foamy head. Good floral/fruity (mainly orange) aroma that hides the alcohol fairly. Hoppy/malty taste is refreshing. There are some honeyish and floral notes but overall, it lacks complexity. Decent bittersweet aftertaste. Enjoyable.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
A beer that was hard for me to like, it was canned, maybe it affected flavor. Was hopped enough, but a little too sweet, alcohol dominated every sip. Maybe the bottle conditioned will be better.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was a really interesting beer. I expected something similar to Bio Jade, but this is quite different. Interesting, "Belgian" even nose, fine head, yeasty flavor with maybe some subdued spices. A bit sourish, too. Not great, but good, and as I said, quite interesting.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
White head on a beautifully orange-gold body. The taste is all I expected from a quality blond bière de garde. It is malty but fruity at the same time. A beer I would drink at any time. One of the best
