Pours clear brownish amber with a creamy beige head leaving nice lacing. Aroma is sweet, malty, raisins, fidges, fruity, alcohol, perry and caramel. Sweet lean mouthfeel. Fruity, sweet, slightlyacidy, maltynd bitterish flavor. Medium palate. Finishes first sweet fruity turning into nice tart afertaste. Very drinkable, nice session beer.

Slightly hazy light amber color. Smallish head, some decent lacing. Aroma is subdued and nondescript - caramel malt, some citrus, toasted bread. Flavor is slightly salty, some sweet malt, and a dry but not hoppy finish with a slightly off metallic flavor. Easy drinking and crisp, it does have an authentic feeling to me. Nothing to write home about, but traditionally it’s a French peasant farmhouse ale brewed for field workers, and with that in mind, I enjoyed drinking it.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours copper with a significant, foamy beige head. The aroma is figs, caramel, and apples. The flavor is malty sweet and a little spicy. The palate is heavy, sticky and a little acidic and astringent. Overall, a powerful and complex beer. Very tasty.
