5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is my favorite French beer I drink a couple every night.
It is now available in 33cl bottles.
It is interesting how few people described the beer accurately as it is flavoured with orange zest and coriander.
Goudale responds well to being chilled.
Gayant brewery also make beers that are sometimes sold in Lidl these are great value and well worth buying I just bought 7 cases of Abaye beer in 75cl bottles for 1.5 euros a bottle - very good value.
Tastes like a less alcoholic and less flavored Goudale.
Damn shame the beer had ben pasteurised. Would love to try unpasteurised Gayamt beers.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Let’s see... I’ve never had a beer sealed with a cork before. 0,75l bottle from France. Pours golden yellow, with a big white head. It’s aroma is slightly dark, sweet with loads of roasted malt. Mid-bodied. Taste is dark, roasty sweet malt, caramel, medium bitter at the end, medium carbonated. Nice one.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Drink Baar, 20120704) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, orange peel, spices and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, malts, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was a bit harsh and it had fruitiness, bitterness and malts. A below average attempt to brew a Belgian blond.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
75cl bottle from Carrefour. Great looking bottle. Poured a very appealing orange amber colour. Overall, a fairly bland ale with something of a grainy hit in the finish. A bit of yeasty spice, not much hop. Nothing wrong with this, but not quite sure what all the fuss is about - could be that it is a well balanced session ale (like De Koninck or some English bitters) which are highly drinkable and awesome if you’re brought up on the taste? But then it’s nearly 8% and not moreish enough for that. Don’t know, but it’s worth trying I guess.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small bottle 7,2%. Golden body, medium head. Perfumey aroma. Malty and citric (orange peel) taste with a quite notable alcohol burn. Sweet fruity finish with some mustiness. Quite similar to some Belgian blond ales, but less sugary and therefore feels a bit sharp due to its ABV.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hazy orange gold color. Head disappeared really quickly. Aroma is strong of apple cider. Mouth is a little painful. Taste is slightly metallic. Some fruit notes. Overall kind of boring. Not the most interesting beer I’ve had.
