Clear golden beer with a light banana aroma. Flavour is banana too but milder with some bitter hop. It actually finishes surprisingly dry. Quite tasty.

Cloudy golden colour with a white head. Sweet, spicy, champagne like aroma. Decent carbonation, citric flavour with a dry bitter finish.

The pour produces a slightly hazy orange/gold with a creamy white head that leaves great lacing. The nose is grainy, with corn husk, floral hops, honey and not much else. The flavour is equally grainy, with notes of corn, leafy hops, and that characteristic funky vegetal high-fermentation temp flavour. Bier de Garde’s have never been my thing, but this one really turned me off. It just tastes rotten. The palate, despite the flavour, is very nice, as it is creamy, appropriately carbonated and slightly warming in the finish, that ends a little syrupy though.

At a private tasting in Serbia with markoijelena and luttonm. "Pour it" golden, filtered with a white head. Nose: jasmine, bread notes, sour hints. Mouth: easy drinking, background bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flasche 75cl. Kurzer Blick aufs Rückenetikett: Gerstenmalz, Weizen, Reis, Hopfen, Koriander, Orangenschale. Konservierungsmittel: Ascorbinsäure. Biere à l´ ancienne? Ich weiß ja nicht. Frischer Antrunk, metallisch-saurer Abgang. Relativ flach, der Alkohol ist fast nicht wahrzunehmen. Aufdringlich unbesonders.

Presentation: It was poured from a 750ml brown bottle into a tulip glass. The bottle has a bottle date of 09-28-09. Appearance: Its body has a deep orange amber color with a good cloudy appearance and a tall off white head. The head quickly fades down to a thin cap which then holds on well making spotty slick lacing on the glass. Smell: The aroma is very wheaty and bready. Underneath that are some light citrusy notes of hops. Taste: There are dry wheat, light grain and light bready malty notes throughout. Towards the finish a light touch of citrus hops moves in and adds some bitterness for balance. The finish is quick, snappy and dry. The palate has a medium well carbonated feel. Notes: Overall it is a very nice Biere de Garde with loads of tasty wheat maltiness. Everything else is right on par for the style.

Presented in a nice corked bottle. The aroma is of yeast and malt with a hint of orange . The appearance of the beer is as good as the bottle's. Golden with a good white head like a freshly poured pils. Flavour wise it has that yeast start and orange flavours like most balgium beers have. However unlike Belgium beers this has quite a long, crisp, malty finish and is quite highly carbonated. A great beer either way, although it is slightly thinner on the palate than the great beers of which I have compared it to. I would definately have this one again.

Golden. White head. Floral fresh aroma followed my malty sweet aroma and typical french perfumy dishwater finish.
