Large white head, fainting quickly with light cereals aroma. Body is clear and yellow. Taste not bad but too light in hops and bitterness and too basic with remaining barley taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2005 Citrus taste, fruity. Great flavor, reminds a Tripel as says caesar. My favorite french beer.

Appearance with golden color and low head. Aroma not very strong, but you can notice the malt. Hoppy flavor, bitter and alcohol (7.5%). A very interesting blonde. I recommend it!

Decent Biere de garde. Not overly special in any area, but generally well made. Aroma - dough and yeast not very strong Appearance - Golden in color, very little haze. Strong frothy head that lingers. Taste = mildly sweet Palate - light/medium body, medium texture. Good level of carbonation. Round finish with taste of bread.

33cl bottle. (I don’t know which is correct temperature for this, I drank this little bit colder than room temperature) Thick white foam. Strong aroma of malts, little bit weisse-like, also soapy aroma, which isn’t really nice. Yellow colour. Palate is semi-thick, medium carobante. Aroma is interesting combination of wheat and barley. There’s some acidic fruit aftertaste, like green apple.

Bottle. Dark golden in colour, the head is minimized vey quickly. Malty aroma with hints of some fruits, citrusy maybe. In taste again sweet, malty and some Belgian notes and metalic flavour. Medium to low body, low carbonated and low bitternes. There are better blonds.

Bottle. Smells of grassy hop, clove, bit of wheat and yeast. Tastes of grassy hop, Belgian spice, corn. Body is medium slick, spicy/fizzy and quite smooth. Plenty of barnyard in this bier de garde but taste doesn't have much depth.

Light coloured with good retention. Sweet aromas, caramel and flowers. Taste is sweet. Easy beer, not the best but balanced enough to be enjoyed.

I really like this beer a lot. It is like a lighter version of belgian styles. No bacteria funk like some other beers in this category. Nice subtle hoppiness - good level of sweetness (balancing, not overwhelming). Very carbonated, but it works. Some of that pruney belgian flavor, but less than most. Coats the mouth. I like this stuff, almost as much as the pepsi throwback I had earlier today.

750 Ml bottle. Another blowout special from Perfect Pour. Average compared to the previious offering I drank. Average color, kind of thin and watery but it has a pretty good bitter finish. Again, not bad for French beer. Still better than any macro. As an aside, I am impressed that none of these reduced priced specials are skunked.
