This is my favorite French beer I drink a couple every night. It is now available in 33cl bottles. It is interesting how few people described the beer accurately as it is flavoured with orange zest and coriander. Goudale responds well to being chilled. Gayant brewery also make beers that are sometimes sold in Lidl these are great value and well worth buying I just bought 7 cases of Abaye beer in 75cl bottles for 1.5 euros a bottle - very good value. Tastes like a less alcoholic and less flavored Goudale. Damn shame the beer had ben pasteurised. Would love to try unpasteurised Gayamt beers.

Jolie blonde dorée, belle petite rondeur mêlée d’amertume et de fruité. Plutôt bonne. Bouteille achetée en grande surface.

660ml bottle from Aldi. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Yeasty, ester-y aroma and taste - not unlike a dubbel.

Bottle 330ml from Booths, MediaCityUK, Salford [071214]
Golden, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma - Soft lemon zest, slight esters, vague fruits, pale malts, slight spicy
Taste of sweet pale malts, soft cereal, light alcohol, sugars, slight spicy, dab of dull lemon
Palate - soft carb, medium body, oily, dab of glycerine, soft sweet. Finish as main flavour, rapid finish
Overall - Rice, dextrose, fructose, added Vitamin C.....hmm...dull for the abv, mouthfeel was a bit gooey. Didn’t impress that much.

On tap at la gaiete in lille. Flavor is outstandingly well balanced for a bdg. Roasted and fruity notes come through with expected flavor of the type. Very solid beer.

0.25 bottle. Pours nice and lasting white head. Aroma sweet, some fruits and bread, not impressive at all. Tastes watery in spite of 7.2 abv. Very dominating metallic taste, and some malty sweetness. Bitterness is low, mainly from alcohol. Not a good one. On a blind test I would say it is a strong lager.
