Pours golden with a thin mostly receding off-white head. Notes of sweet pale malt, honey, biscuit malt, bubble gum esters and soapy, herbal hops. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation.

Pours gold with a large well sustained white head. Smells of perfume, semi dry malt, some fruity hints. Tastes slightly metallic with some nice spicy elements and earthy undertones. Finishes semi sweet.

Floral hops aroma along with some tangy butterscotch that is not diacetyl. Clear dark yellow with a foamy white cover that quickly drops. Flavour begins sort of like a belgian blonde ale with woody, floral hops together with spicy phenolics that are subtle, but detectable. A woody bitterness comes in later with a refreshing sour wheat and a touch of ethanol. Overall, very well balanced and tasty. Very quaffable for strength. Medium body, medium carbonation, woody bitter finish.

Bottled. Mildly skunked aroma, German hop, slight cauliflower, yam. Mild yeasty notes. Mostly dry. Big fluffy head. Oxidized, metallic notes sits atop what is otherwise a very pleasing flavor, bready, doughy, light and crisp and mellow. Despite the flawed aroma, this turns out to be a very nice drink.

75 cl bottle purchased in Paris. Clear gold color. Head was two fingers high and white, eventually reducing to a thin film. Smelled of clove, honey, yeasty bread dough, and malty cereal grain. Effervescent with clove, alcohol, raw vegetables, and pale malt flavors. Delicate hop bitterness at the end on the back of the tongue.

Bottle: Clear golden colur, with a nice creamy head. Aroma was yeasty,fruity, dust alc-maltyness. Typical belgian yesty nose in the end. Flavor is almost the same. Nice complexity, medium body, and a nice citric/flowery medium finish. Nice Belgian Beer indeed!!

Pours light amber into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface leaving spider lacing. Sweet malt aromas. Crisp and sweet caramel malt upfront. Lasting alcohol finish.

Pale golden colour with a thick white lacy head. very malty and irony nose, a touch of lemon and/or very sour. a long almost disturbing sour taste. reminds me of rhubarb pie. not my favourite.

75cl bottle. Golden colour, large and persistent creamy head. Spicy, quite hoppy and malty, full-bodied. Lovelly flowery hops from Falnders. I often use this beer as a present for people who like beer, but have no idea there are more beer styles than lager and Pilsener.

Bière dorée plutôt foncée, presque de teinte ambrée. Très limpide. Au service, le col est discrèt et disparait en peu de temps. L’effervescence est faible.
L’arôme est d’abord sucré, fruité, mielleux, un peu floral.
Au goût, on note les fruits blans délicats et liquoreux : poire, raisins verts, lichis. On apperçoit les céréales derrière un goût syrupeux de levures et de céréales. Une bière qui a quand même beaucoup de profondeur malgré ses apparences communes. L’arrière-goût est celui de fruits blancs confits.
Elle est ronde en bouche, peut-être syrupeuse.
J’y reviendrai certainement!
