Bottle, 33 cl. Deep golden colour with a tiny white head. Honeyish malt aroma with yeasty, somewhat spicy notes. Medium-light bodied. Sweet and unbalanced with alcohol clearly present.

Wow. My perception of French beers as largely mediocre was hardly raised by this product. Not much here, and with a style as wide as Biere de Garde I expected some element that was extreme or at least interesting, and I didn’t really get it from this beer. Appearance was good-enough, with a golden color and a whisp of white head. Aroma was lightly citrus-y and grainy but didn’t have much to it. Flavor was similarly non-deScript and even more absent than the aroma. Mouthfeel was unremarkable. Not a lot here, good or bad. I can’t say I’d go out of my way to get this beer, nor will I recommend it.

Bottle. Light yellow with large white head.Fresh, nice aroma but too thin. Maybe some citrus, yeast? Nice beer in the summer but too thin for me.

C&C 750, best by 09.28.09. Gold with a white head. Mildly sweet nose, toasty malt and fruit atop yeast. Lightly toasted malt flavors, seems a bit wheaty somehow, lightly spiced and a bit of banana. Odd. Didn’t much care for it, but seems well made.

A white beer that has a little more golden color than the usual yellow. Has the typical citrus aroma with mild hops. Taste has a little bit more hops than other white beers, but besides that, there’s not much difference.

17th July 2008. Complex beer. Dry. Brandyish undertone. Lagerish malt that is also a little creamy. Long bitter finish. Complex isn’t always good.

750 Ml bottle. Another blowout special from Perfect Pour. Average compared to the previious offering I drank. Average color, kind of thin and watery but it has a pretty good bitter finish. Again, not bad for French beer. Still better than any macro. As an aside, I am impressed that none of these reduced priced specials are skunked.

0.33l bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm. This is a crystal clear golden beer, some small unfiltered particles it has, yes, and a big fluffy and lasting just off-white head that’s heavy lacing down the sides of the glass. The aroma is both malty, light fruity, yeasty with cacti tones and perhaps even a subtle little autumn-leafy tone. The carbonation level is average and the mouthfeel is oily to watery. Expected it to have some more texture.. Caramel, light earthy with some yeast in the flavor. Mouthdrying and perhaps even a bit dusty. Watery ending and aftertaste on this one. Not especially good or interesting in my mouth.
