Blond color. Sweet aroma, citrus fruits and honey, more Cointreau-like than Grand Marnier… Similar comment for the taste, sweet. Not a good idea!

UPDATED: APR 30, 2003 I debated about trying this because of the $3(Cdn) price tag, for what I thought was a regular sized 330 ml bottle. But I figured, what the hell. Then I discover, after pouring and only filling my glass three quarters full, that it's only 250 ml. So already I'm thinking rip-off. And then I got a whiff. Which made me think that this beer was made by taking a skunky, green bottle, European lager and throwing in some Grand Marnier in the hopes of making palatable. Keep working on that. Pale, dull orange colour. No head. Aforementioned skunky aroma, with some orange peel and yeast. Taste is an unbalanced blend of skunked, bitter lager and orange kool-aid, but kool-aid that has started to ferment somehow. Thin, syrupy, almost sticky mouthfeel.

What is with the French and their obsession with ruining beer by adding things that just don’t belong? They’ve done it with tequila, with congnac, and now with Grand Marnier. Although I’m willing to bet it’s orange flavouring despite the claim that there is 5% Grand Marnier in the beer. Starts off a golden yellow with no head to speak of. Aroma is lemon-lime soda (that’s right, not even orange in the aroma!) mixed with beer-in-the-carpet smell (you know what I mean). Flavour is sickly sweet with an artificial orange taste mixed in with a harsh poor quality pale lager. COME ON! Does anyone honestly think this is GOOD?!

Skunky aroma with a hint of orange. Golden colour with very little head or carbonation. Light lager with very little actual beer character overshadowed completely by sickly sweet Grand Marnier fake orange flavour, Very thin body. Happy this was only a 250ml bottle. Bottle.

Medium yellow in colour. This is quite possibly the worst beer I have ever had. Aromas of model glue, skunk, and Grand Marnier. If it were possible for an orange to fart, the smell of that fart would be the same as the smell of this beer. Ridiculously sweet flavors of orange and alcohol. Thin bodied and disgusting. I don’t mind Grand Marnier in my coffee, but it DOES NOT belong anywhere near a beer! The epitome of a drainpour.

250ml bottle. Horrible. It was only a quarter liter and I was already drunk and could barely finish it. It would be a fight between this and Coors Light for worst beer I’ve ever had.
