COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
K, the cider in that distinctive black bottle, is smooth, light clean - with just the right edge - that keeps ’em comin’ back. Hey these days we’re all looking for something different. Hand crafted in England with the light and refreshing taste of Somerset apples.

Slightly acidic, slightly cooked, apple aromas. Light amber color. It has some body. Mild carbonation. Slightly tart flavor of apple and appleskin. Finish is a bit puckery. Clean, leaving a pasteurized apple juice impression.

Bottle... Something a bit different for rating #1800... Clear, light yellow cider with no head. Smells a bit like champagne. Moderately sweet, mildly pungent and lightly dry. Overripe apples. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Lengthy, sweet-tart finish. It’s cider. Not really my thing, but pretty tasty.

Hazy deep golden pour. Very light carbonation. The nose is is lightly appley with a weird plasticy maltiness. Some fairly oxidized character in addition to the light apple. Light astringency but it’s the weird honey/malt sweetness that is the most off-putting. It gets less sweet as it warms up. A touch of acidity. A very odd duck – meh.

Suprisingly good all around. Aroma isn’t great, smells like apples and grass, a bit like a cheap macro. No head of any sort. A deep sparkling gold body. Taste is sweet but not cloying at all, dry finish and very very refreshing. Goes down with soft carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2004 Medium gold color, small white head. Aroma is a chemical-like apple paint mixture, flavor is not as bad, sharp and harsh sour apple candy flavor. Very harsh palate.

This being my first cider, I really have no basis for comparison against others, but I do find it enjoyable. The aroma is a complex fruity mix with hints of malt, hop and yeast. Appearance is orange and somewhat sparkling. Flavor is initially sweet , moderately bitter and a little sour milk. It definitely finishes sour. Palate is dry and flat.

Canary pour with little head. Aroma of granny smith apples, some malt, cinnamon. Tastes apply (red delicious and some granny smith) with a slight tart aftertaste. Very smooth, but not very full bodied. Not bad.

Bottle. Light straw color. Aroma of apples. Flavor is sweet and guess what, tastes like apples!! Pretty ok I suppose.

Poured a sparkling light golden with no appreciable head. Aroma was tart and full of Granny Smith apples. Flavor was about the same... with some nice late summer spices. Tart apple juice moved well across the palate. Dry apple juice finish was rather pleasant. Nothing complex or exciting about this one, but it was smooth-drinking and refreshing.

Pale gold sweet apple nose. Aroma of cheap polish apple fruit wines of past days. Fruity sweet medium, sour character undermined by all that sugar. Almost like sweet apple juice.
