1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
568ml bottle. Sweet apple aroma. Bright copper in appearance with no head. This cider is very highly carbonated. Sweet apple juice flavour but quite thin and with no real character. Slightly dry finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A fairly average cider. Taste is medium verging towards dry. Obvious apple notes, some caramel, some slight floral blossom and yeast notes. The after-taste is sharp, but not too nasty. This cider isn’t too synthetic and is an OK drink at a party or a BBQ, but not recommended.
Price paid: £1.

Bottled, 1 Pint from Co-Op in Banbury. Pale gold with no head. Sweet, fruity but in a sweet apple way, quite a fleshy fruit along with a perfumed note. Pretty average.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
568ml bottle from local shop. Golden colour, fizzy foam white head that quickly dissipates to a thin layer and aroma of apple & slight barnyard note. Taste is similar with artificial sweetish and tart apple. Light bodied, high carbonation, dryish finish. OK.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is over ripe apples. Golden colour. Taste is ripe apples to start then the astringent artificial sweetener kicks in. Not horrible, but the taste is let down by the too sweet aftertaste.

One of those ciders you drink and forget after a few moments. Bit artificial, bit low in aroma and bit industrial-sweetish. Drinkable for the masses and me but nothing more.
