StueyD (665) - Heacham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2012
Fizzy, yellow gold colour with no head. A sweetish smell of apples and a hint of toffee. Fizzy mouthfeel. The sweet apple element comes through in the taste, alongside a sharp tartness. Refreshing, but not spectacular.

worldbeertaste (621) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2012
Thin medium yellow with a thin off-white average head. Smells like candy apples and apple skin but fairly faint. Medium thin carbonated body. Sweet taste of apples, crisp tart finish and bubbly. Quite weak. Very commercial

whitecap (220) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 4, 2012
500ml can. yellow color. Caramel is listed in the ingredients so I’m assuming this would be lighter without it? Damn. top two ingredients are water and apple juice. Not expecting much. minimal white fizzy head with a white rim. active carbonation. Tart aroma of apples, slight barnyard notes that save what would otherwise be a terrible cider. finish is abrupt. Bought this one can on sale and given that nice tart barnyard bit, this one’s not a complete write off.

ClubGonzo (1979) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 19, 2011
Bottle from Thai supermarket. Golden orange body, small white head. Nose is yeast, dry grapes and only hints of apples. Taste is sweet yellow apples with hints of sugar and tart yeasty apple notes. Pretty decent, I may not "get" cider, but I feel this is slightly underrated.

Spab (1195) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2011
500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear, light golden yellow with tiny white cap. Aroma is basically just grainy apple juice. Taste is a little tarter but still much of the same. Fairly dry, tart finish. Not bad but unmemorable.

Metalchopz (1428) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 19, 2011
Originally rated December 2008. Cider of the month at the LCBO, I guess ??!? Pours a light golden colour with heavy carbonation. Its head is white, has no lacing, disappears fast (like pretty much all ciders), but a little coating tops the brew (because of the carbonation). The aromas are made of apple juice and grain, with a mild cider vinegar scent in the back. The mouthfeel is surprisingly not carbonated, but watery. The flavours are pretty dull. Just a tad of watered-down apple juice and hardly any finish. Really, nothing to taste. Not an interesting cider.
