This was ok, good pear character, slightly sweet but that’s to be expected!

Fizzy, pale yellow colour with no head. There is a hint of pear, and also apple in the aroma, but has an artificial tone about it. Fizzy mouthfeel. The aste is very similar to that of the Apple version, sweet pear and apple fruit, with a sharp tartness. Like its apple counterpart, refreshing but nothing special.

4.5% pear cider, the new drink among the trendy, young and other easily influenced, is pear cider (or Perry as was known until rebranding), not bad, I always preferred Perry to Cider anyway.

clear yellow, smooth white head. mild aroma of dry pear and dry apple. slightly sort of artificial. Flavor is quite dry, a little apple, a little pear sweetness, a little fruity citrussy or lemon like balance. Easy drinking and quite tasty, however towards the end there is a lot of rubber like sort if bitterness which is not good.

At Crown & Sceptre. Pale yellow, no head; smells like pear, tastes like pear with a bit of chablis; light body, good carbonation, quick finish, no aftertaste... Refreshing.

Keg at Old Brewery Tavern. Pale gold thin white head. Artificial pear aroma. Oh bot this is rubbish. It makes Babycham look accomplished. Medium sweet but does not make me want to throw up. Its not awful but too fizzy and thin better than I expected

Tap in Havanas, Norwich. Pale yellow with a small and fizzy readily disappearing white head. Artificial pear aroma. Quite saccharine on the tongue too, left a bit of residue despite the thin mouthfeel and medium to full carbonation. Pretty poor but for £2 in a club on a Saturday night, you’re not going to get much better. Given the heat, a slight mark-up for the refreshment value.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow, no lasting head. Aroma is citrusy and sweet perry. Dry perry fruity and somewhat sticky aspertam like. Flat aspertam finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear yellow/greenish with a white head. Fruity nose, no real distinct pear though. Medium body, mainly tart with a vague underlying tartness. High carbonation. Ends dry and tart. 150610

Bottled. A pale yellow perry with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of pears. The flavor is very sweet with notes of pears, leading to a lightly tart finish.
