An old 8% bottle. Dark amber with little head, ginger on the nose and palate, a little orange on the nose too. Body’s a bit musty but also rich like an old fruit wine.

Brown, dark amber coloured beer. Head should be some bigger and hold a bit longer. Spiced at both the smell as taste, and not totally outbalanced. Misses a boost for me. It’s not bad.

December 2010. From bottle. Poured a hazy amber color with a white head. Flavors of spice, malt and caramel. An OK beer but other better options out there.

From a 11.2oz bottle out of a Christmas Gift pack purchased as Paul’s Grocery in McCall, ID. Poured a cloudy dark copper color with an off-white and very little lacing . Nose of dark caramel malts and belgian spicy yeast. Medium body. Lively mouth feel. Flavor is roasted caramel malts, the fruity yeast, and some spices. Dry finish. Good drinking.

Bottle from Hop City, Atlanta. Pours a cloudy reddish brown color. Nose is one the spicy side, not unlike a witbier or biere de garde. Body is rich and malty, taste akin to gingerbread. Decent but unremarkable.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a uncarbonated transparent orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was mild malt and mild vinous. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish mild vinous hop aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of vinous hops and malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. Hell, it was on sale for next to nothing so I couldn’t resist. It pours a hazy deep orange with a lasting off white head. The aromas is very spicy with lots of clove, mace, and dried fruit. The flavor is a little sweet with some caramel and that same spicy, dried fruitiness from the nose. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not mind blowing compared to it’s peers, but for $5, it was worth it!

14.01.13 Ølkonsortiets julekalender. Uts: mørk brobsefarget, klar, godt med beige-oransje skum. Duft: fruktig og syrlig, noe tung malt og tydelig humle. Smak: lite fyldig, tydelig alkohol og noe humle. Tynn ettersmak preget av bitterhet.
