Bottle at Københavns Ølfestival 2010. Cloudy orange red coloured with a small white ehad. Sweet aroma of caramel and currants. Sweet flavour of caramel and currants with notes of metal. Sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy red with a small pinkish head. Sweet, heavy blackcurrant aroma; no beer here – just the berries; blackcurrant juice, really, although with a candy-like touch. Flavour is equally sweet with blackcurrant, but has a slight berry-tartness as well. Faint notes of beer in the background. Finish is pretty much the same. A bit dry and with tart notes lingering. Overall this is not bad as such, but it is so like blackcurrant juice, that I might as well be drinking that, with a dash of alcohol in it. 25-03-10.

Bottle... Poured a cloudy, reddish/burgundy with a thick, bubbly, pinkish head and lots of floaties. Smelt of grape, medicinal cough medicine, with a thick yeast tone. Light palate, low carbonation, big time grape flavors with a big soda quality. Other dark fruit notes like cherries and a light sweet, tart candy finish. Overall pretty dank, like grape sherbet or something, and a near drain pour.

Pours a purple to ruby red with almost no head. Aroma is dominated by blackcurrant. Would not be able to distinguish between this and a blackcurrant soda based on appearance and aroma alone. Flavor is actually surprisingly good, given that I don’t really like fruit beer. It is of course mostly a blackcurrant taste, but slightly bitter and definitely not too sweet. Pretty well balanced actually. There is not much carbonation and no real lingering finish, but it’s a simple and decent fruity beer for them who like this style.

Pours reddish brown with a small light orange head. Aroma is light malt and heavy sweet blackberry. Flavour is watery, blackberry light malt. This is closer to blackberry juice, than beer.

11.2oz bottle imported by Shelton, says 5.7%? Pours a weird clear glowing but dull and murky lightly reddish/purple white grape juice color with a tall fizzy white thin foamy head. Aroma also smells a lot like white grape juice, some hard candy sweetness and some sharp floral fermenting fruit notes as well. Flavor is harsh, weirdly waxy, grapey, bitter leaves, grapey, some sharp bright sweetness that comes and goes quickly, nice current flavor though, weird waxy twiggy earthiness. Medium/light bodied, again a bit waxy, champaign-like carbonation bubbles, dry quick finish. Weird bitterness. . . . . . . this is actually better at room temp, so I up’d my rating.

250ml Bottle - Purple/red in colour. Sweet blackcurrant aroma, rather reminiscent of Ribena. Sweet taste with sugary blackcurrant. Very refreshing, but hard to take too seriously.
