Blond color. Very simple Belgian Ale, just a nice spiceness, both in the aroma and taste.

Very light colured, taste is of yeast and barley, foams in the mouth and on the palate like champagne

It looks awful, very very cloudy, almost no head. Aroma is dough with lemon. Taste is like a fluid sweet lemoncake with some spices. What happened!? Body is as it looks, very murky.

Tall thin 330cl bottle, best before Mar 2013, poured into a Duvel glass in Nov 2011. I managed to keep the sediment out, so the beer was a golden yellow colour with nothing floating about within, the head was poor, thin and wispy: the pour didn’t help the head of course, with me being cautious trying to keep the yeast and sediment elements out. To be completely fair an island of bubbles did stay throughout the review and a full collar surrounded the beer until the end also. Belgian yeasts and sweet floral, fruity notes from the hops (and malts). Crisp and sharp in the mouth, a bit fizzy, too carbonated for my palate, but not unpleasant. Those sweet aroma notes carry on in the taste, this isn’t bitter or harsh at all, even though it isn’t smooth or rich in any way either. Lets just say it’s rough around the edges in flavour and texture. Different and interesting without being completely unusual or fantastic: I liked it, but didn’t go overboard about anything.
