3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 superspak (1480) - Michigan, USA - DEC 6, 2012750 ml bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings to the glass, with a nice amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, light orange zest, bread, honey, herbal, floral, light pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance; a touch muted. Taste of big honey, apple, pear, grape, light caramel, light citrus zest, bread, floral, herbal, light pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, honey, caramel, bread, herbal, floral, and light yeast spiciness on the finish for a bit. Nice flavor balance and complexity; with a very malt forward taste with low yeast spiciness; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian Tripel. Very nice flavor complexity with solid balance; and very smooth to sip on for 9%. Even though I prefer more peppery Tripels, this was very enjoyable. This likely had some significant age on it though.

April 2012. From a 33 cl. bottle under the Goliath label. Copper color with a white head. Aroma of spices, caramel and sugar. The alcohol is never overwhelming. Very good ale.

The looks of this beer is golden with a fantastic long lasting foam head. The cling is present on the glass. Great taste fresh with herby taste and a strong alcoholic finish the hop aromas are present but pushed away by the alcohol flavours in my opinion a great beer.

Some spice, mostly malt in the aroma. A nice cloudy orange appearance. It’s amazing how sweet this beer can seem without the added sugar. The flavor is excellent. It has sweet caramel malt and tons of Belgian spiciness. Really quite astounding.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks avrashi. As Goliath. Hazy yellow golden. Yeasty aroma with a bit of wheat, some overripe fruits, a bit of spiciness, light acidic hints and a bit of alcohol. Yeasty and spicy flavor with some fruitiness and a spicy alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied.
