3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings to the glass, with a nice amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, light orange zest, bread, honey, herbal, floral, light pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance; a touch muted. Taste of big honey, apple, pear, grape, light caramel, light citrus zest, bread, floral, herbal, light pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, honey, caramel, bread, herbal, floral, and light yeast spiciness on the finish for a bit. Nice flavor balance and complexity; with a very malt forward taste with low yeast spiciness; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian Tripel. Very nice flavor complexity with solid balance; and very smooth to sip on for 9%. Even though I prefer more peppery Tripels, this was very enjoyable. This likely had some significant age on it though.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Robe blonde et opaque. La mousse se forme et tient bien.
Saveurs très fruitées (pêche, mirabelle). Beaucoup d’esters. Le fruité est équilibré par une amertume prononcée. Texture assez épaisse, carbonatation fine.
Longue en bouche.
Une excellente triple.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
750ml wire cradle bottle as Goliath Tripel bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen. Gives a good shot followed by smoke when opened. White foamy head over a near-clear golden body. Floral aroma with spices. Taste of earthy malts, yeasty esters, and dark spices. Malt-fruity ending with noticeable alcohol. Accepted, far from great (tasting session in Tromsø together with Stefan and Elisabeth 03.06.2015).

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice Belgian Tripel, classic taste. Pours a cloudy yellow with lots of sediment. Smells like classic Belgian herbs and spices, along with lemon. Taste is quite dry, with more lemon and spices. Paired with steak tacos and honey slaw, sweetness and herbs are brought out. Had in the bottle.
Earlier Rating: 10/8/2013 Total Score: 2.9
A fairly standard Belgian tripel. Pours an ugly cloudy yellow. Smells good, like apples and lemon. Taste is very lemony, with some sour apple as well. Finishes dry and smooth. Had in the bottle.
