3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ML bottle purchased at BevMo in Redding, CA. THE POUR / APPEARANCE: Pours a cloudy deep golden color, whith a dense rocky head that lasts throughout the entire drink. BOUQUET / AROMA: Citrus, spices, with Belgian funk. TASTE / FLAVOR PROFILE: Nice citrus, intense dry malt / hop balance, almost a "Grand Cru" dryness. PALATE / MOUTHFEEL: Almost a "Brut" dryness, Poire Williams dryness. OVERALL: A very well made Tripel, especially without any candi sugar in the brewing process. It is distinctive, compare it to a Westmalle Trappist Tripel, but not quite in quality and scale of the trappist product. This is a great beer- enjoy with chicken, pasta, or even fish. Sante’!

Looks like a tripel, tastes like a tripel with banana, vanilla and alcohol. not much going on, though. Enjoyed it, no need to try it again.

This is a great beer to give someone. Seriously, it would be a really nice thing to do. Also, it’s a really decent quaff. It looks the part, hazy golden blonde crowned by a giant ivory blanket. There isn’t a whole lot of smell from it, light spiciness, candy sweetness, booze....sort of like a subdued Werther’s candy covered in black pepper and cloves and soaked in wheaty whiskey. There is a wee bit of banana in the mostly sweet taste with a tiny, prickling bitterness. Carbonation is mid-high and is zippy on the tongue. Vinous notes also appear in the flavour of this dry and sweet boozey finishing Tripel down lose-your-memory lane.

Very good on the palate, but the smell can be better as well as the taste. I expected more taste for a triple beer to be fair!
