3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to HopDog. Pours a cloudy darker red amber with a nice tan head that diminished quickly. A small head did stay around to lace the glass, nice looking beer. Aroma is weaker. But I could pick up prunes, raisons, some chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor is a bit more bland with some chocolate, raisons and I can taste a bit of alcohol.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle best before 2007. Very subtle aromas of dark fruits, chocolate, light spices, and very light yeast. Softer tastes of dark fruits, cocoa, dark cherries, and caramel. Even though I had a hard time really picking anything out on this one, it was a good beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle, bbe 2009. Murky chestnut brown with a small, pretty quickly dissipating beige head. Aroma of chocolate liquor (candies) with some rubbery notes. Flavour: sweet, malt, chocolate, alcohol, peat. A bit spritzy and a bit watery on the palate. Pleasant and very drinkable, but not too complex.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Prune and almond aroma. Brown color, small beige head, few lace. Light sweet, light spices, butterscotch, almond, bitter especially in the finish, sparkling, light dusty in the finish. Reminded me of a doppelbock brewed belgian style.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Compliments of Patrick D’hane, owner of Bier Circus. Dark ruby to near brown body. Small tan head. Nose is sort of watery spice and fruit with a weird oddness about it I can’t place. Taste is moderate fruit and hops with yeasty notes coming through. Decent malt character and more of that oddness coming through here as well. Body is mild carbonation and mild spice. Finish is fruity with malts and some bitterness. Odd beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Complimentary beer from owner of Bier Circus for making us wait so long for our bill. Light caramel malt, light hops. Dark red-brown clear with thin off-white head. Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation. Medium dry malt start with caramel, light bitterness. Finish is light fruity with bitter. Weak overall flavor, but OK flavor.
