3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Cloudy brown pour with some red highlights and a persistent beige head. Dark fruit and rum cake on the nose with a healthy spice note. Lots of brown sugar and fruit on the palate. Finishes a little warm.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark amber body with creamy large tan head, looking very nice. Interesting aroma that mixes bread, cacao, woody hops and peanut cookies. Yes, peanut butter even. Probably the roasted barley malts? Test is slightly more normal with roasted yet malts bringing in toffee. Rich active Belgian yeast to go with this, brown sugar to top it off yet no real alcohol recognisable. Ending is shorter than expected. Complex enough and for sweet dark yet not too alcoholic ale it’s very decent. Fuller than most dubbels. (33cl bottle from Bierparadijs)

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Doskonale ciemno brazowe ale. Alkohol niewyczuwalny, jakby go wogole nie bylo. Wspaniala gesta i kremowa piana. Malo nagazowane jak na belgijskie piwo. Wspanialy piszkoptowo-piernikowy aromat. Smak takze wspanialy karmelowo piernikowy. Podobny w smaku do najlepszych abbaye dubbel.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A normal amber dark ale with hints of dried fruits, cara-malts and spices, soft mouthfeel, too carbonated for the genre.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2011 Vintage 33 cl. bottle split thx! to Kraddel. Ruby amber brownish, okay off-white head. Smell is sweet, light molasses, spices, brown sugar, red gummy candy, near-wine in a non-sour way. Bitter herbs, light candy, touch syrup, near-metallic bitter, quite a bit of cough syrup, brown sugar, root beer. Lightly fizzy, touch metallic body. Probably went lightly south but intriguing still.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330 ml bottle. Rated on 2.3.2013.
Gusher. Pours a deep brown colour with a white beigeish head. Aroma is repulsive with sweetness, sewer and dough. Flavour of spices, heavy nuttiness, heavy sweetness, roasted malts, dough, yeast and mold. Light bodied, high carbonation. Something is seriously wrong with this bottle. It seems that I’m not the only one who has encountered such a bottle.
