COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geary’s Autumn Ale is a faithful interpretation of the classic brown ales of Great Britain. With a deep auburn color and a subtle nut-like flavor, Geary’s Autumn Ale is the perfect choice as the seasons change.
Ingredients: Two row English malt (clarity, crystal, chocolate and wheat); Cascade, Golding & Fuggle hops.

Pours clear and ruby colored over an off-white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy, though not intensely of either. The medium bodied liquor is of medium intensity, drinkable and bitter-sweet with caramel dominant. Lovely, mild-mannered brown ale; very sessionable.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA, opened 10/5/10. Pours a clear ruby color with a medium creamy brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, spice and diacetyl. The taste is bitter malts, caramel, raisins, and a bit of spice. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Pours very dark ruby red, crimson, with a small light brown head. Aromas of slight citrus and some tropical fruit, pepper, caramel, and brown sugar. The flavor is bitter pine, floral hops, citrus rind, sweet berry and brown sugar, with a bitter citrus finish. I found this to be very easy-drinking and quite good.

Dark amber color with tan head. Malty aroma. Dark nutty malt flavor with hints of chocolate. Slight hop finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a thin-moderate off-white head that fades away by the first sip and leaves zero lace. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, malt and nuts. The flavor is more malt driven than the aroma with some mild nuts and a trace of chocolate. Slight bitterness at the finish. Overall a nice problem free ale.

A- Body is a transparent cedar color. Pours with a 1 finger or so foamy cream colored head. Head faces to a thick collar and has good retention from there. No lacing is left behind in the glass. S-Nose is mild and has a balance of slightly nutty and earthy characters. T-Flavor is moderate in strength. Nuttiness and a caramel malt backbone are the highlights upfront then a lot of earthy tones kick in for the finish. What lingers is a slight sweetness as well as a slight bitterness. P-Well done. Smooth and silky all the way through with a nice medium weight body and light to medium carbonation. O- This has been in my fridge for awhile and I was pleasantly surprised by this. A decent to good Autumn English Brown overall. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-09-2010 03:50:47

Mostly amber ale flavor. Lightly sweet caramel malt flavor throughout. Grain and bread flavors and aroma as well. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nothing special.
