Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

A bottle of this appeared on my desk without warning. I think the Druids must have done it. Nose is of sugary malts with a few whisps of hops. A moderate amber with touches of brown in the glass. A soapy white head sits and stays well seated by the very active and long carbonation. Body is medium and is of mostly malts at first. Hops decide to join in at the second half of mouthfeel and hang about for a crisp finish. Finish is sudden. Alcohol is well hidden but helped me sleep after a day spent searching for a stowaway owl.

(Bottle) This one struck me as a bit generic tasting. The high alcohol content is masked by a fairly rich malt fairly present hops, but none of the aromas struck me as particularly complex. It’s hard for me to describe this beer because nothing about it stood out. By the end, I was disappointed. This is solidly a mediocre beer, in my opinion.

Bottle Pours a clear amber with a small quickly dissipating head. Aroma is sweet with notes of peach, white grapes, and hops. Taste starts slightly sweet with hints of light fruits, pine, and malts. Has a slight sourness to it. Finishes bitter and dry with some hoppiness.

12 oz. bottle. Pours red/orange with small white, rimming head. Nose is peach, caramel, slight chocolate and a touch of fruity hops. Taste is caramel and raisin, with slight chocolate and mild cherry, and some biscuit. Mild hop finish. Nice sugary sweet after. Not bad.

Shared with Juart. Pours a very clear amber orange color with a thick frothy cream-colored head... about 1 1/2 fingers. Aroma of some papery hops, peach, artificial pineapple, and a hint of bitey cider. An extremely musty hop taste. A little bit of peach tea and brown sugar, but the hops take front stage. Decent body, but not great. Leaves a pretty strong lingering bitter.
