COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

Cherrywood color; Thin and fizzy head; Alcohol nose. A real dissappointment- I had been really looking forward to this one and actually opened it up in a fit of spontanaity(sp?). Tiny bit of citrus. Malt was just medium. Decent mouthfeel, not very assertive. I wanted this beer to blow me away but instead it just spared the hell ouotta me.

01/02 What an enjoyable beer. floral aroma, starts malty and leads to a very nice floral bitterness. Wonderful long lasting finish.

Nice amber colour with a big foamy head. Good malty roasty aroma, but something chemically about it. I’m not a winter brew person.

Deep red appearance, little to no head retention, and a bitter hop aroma. Dry, hoppy initial sip and a smooth dry bitter finish. Almost like a red IPA, overall very unspectacular brew.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2006 Re-rate 4/21/02: 2001-2002 edition, Thin creamy head, deep orange (or light ruby) color, smells and tastes like more than 7% with sweet malts and some smoke and oranges. Starts and ends lighty sweet. A good cool weather beer. Old rating: Somewhere between a scotch ale and a barleywine. I imagine that this will age well.

Very nice caramel, tawny appearance. Lots of flavor. Not as good as the Pride of Milford, a little more bitterness. Very good sippin’ ale.

A bit malty for me. Good body, well brewed.

Reminiscent of Sam Adams Boston Ale with a more malty palate. Slight citric and floral notes in the nose along with caramel malt. Slightly better body than the Sam Adams Boston Ale. Color of strong tea with little to no head. Decent, but not incredibly impressive.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2005 Nice copper hue; tightly packed head. Seems to start really sharp and strong, settles down the more you drink. Big malty flavor (mostly caramel). Rich and heavy mouthfeel. Finishes a little dry. Hint of sour pine. Rather malty-sweet and fruity.

Nah, not really my cup of tea.
