Damn, really surprised I liked this as much as I do! Last shipment of "Beer of the Month Club" and my experience was mostly disappointing; this beer is a rare example of something I actually enjoy. Reminds me of a rye ipa with some spiciness. I like it.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 kerenmk (414) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 11, 2012
Bottle shared at a tasting at Ariel’s. Murkey honey colour, off white head. Aromas of Bazooka Joe bubblegum and band-aid. Sweet, then weird bitter taste - none was fun. Light body, average carbonation, short finish. Something’s definitely wrong with the bottle.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Scipio (189) - Vernon Hills, Illinois, USA - APR 26, 2012
Pours a copper with an off white head. Aroma is faint, with nuts, grapes, and apple being noticed. The above flavors are present, and has some sour notes, and is a bit salty as well. Medium body. Slight sour aftertaste. Drinkable, but not to impressive.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2012
Very nice pour, a clear, deep reddish amber with a creamy light beige head that supplies a lot of slipper lace. The aroma has floral scents covering a rich, bready maltiness. Very smooth drinking. The flavor adds a balancing citric bitterness and finishes surprizingly dry. Very nice.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Hennessyjk (15) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - APR 7, 2012
Deep copper color and a wonderful aroma. The deep Malt flavor creates a robustly smooth flavor. This is a delicious beer and earns a yum yum rating.

Tampa, Fl - Total Wine - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, slight, off-white head. little to no lacing. Aroma is bittersweet with faint citrus traces, some brown sugar. Flavor has a nice subtle bitterness to it with some underlying Christmas spices, some brown sugar and a hint of citrus in the back end. Thick enough mouthfeel. An enjoyable diversion.

This one of my favorites. A unique Ale in style and taste. Hops are alive bit intrusive. Taste is malty but not sweet with earthy overtones.
