COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship pale is a classic British pale ale with a nod to the legendary beers of Burton-on-Trent. Copper-colored, dry, clean and crisp with lots of late hope taste in an appetizing complex with ale fruitiness from imported Hampshire yeast.
Ingredients: Two row English malt (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt Hood, Tettnang and Fuggle Hops.

This is one of the few U.S. breweries whose pale ale is more inclined to the British rather than the American style. Nice malt aroma. Malt balanced at first, with the hops dominating the finish.

Very nice in the traditional English pale style. Good malt/ hop balance - with a sweet, round caramelish flavor on the tongue, and medium bitterness. Mild hop flavor.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2003 It has been 975 days since I had a Geary’s Pale Ale, a bit overdue for a re-sample I’d say.

The pour a unclouded amber color, the head is modest in size, bubbly in structure, and a very light tan in color with the lace a thin sheet upon the glass. Malt dominated is the nose, citrus crisp and fresh, the start is malt laden, slightly sweet, the top slender in its feel to the palate. Finish has a persistent acidic bite, the hops moderate in their presence and spiciness, quite dry aftertaste and a good beer to have on hand for the hot summer days just around the corner.
