COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship pale is a classic British pale ale with a nod to the legendary beers of Burton-on-Trent. Copper-colored, dry, clean and crisp with lots of late hope taste in an appetizing complex with ale fruitiness from imported Hampshire yeast.
Ingredients: Two row English malt (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt Hood, Tettnang and Fuggle Hops.

Bottle. Pours a light copper color with a diminished white fizzy head ring around the glass. nose is nutty and caramel syrupy. Plate is stingy and a medium viscosity. Flavors are nutty, dirty water, grainy.

12 oz bottle. Rather malty nose, sweetish. Dusty and grassy hops - a bit yeasty. This is not the most convincing pale ale I’ve come across - and the competition is fierce!

Draught in Fryeburg, ME. It was a fine English pale ale but just a little bland overall. Easy to drink and enjoyable but nothing to write home about.

Aroma is earthy, grassy hops. Pours clear copper color with a small white head. Taste is simple and a bit bland, but it is still clean and refreshing. Earthy hop flavors dominate and make this an accurate example of Brittish-style hoppy beers. Finish is not very bitter and the mouthfeel is surprisingly smooth.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Malty aroma, a bit earthy as well. The flavor is pretty bland, with a bit of grain and a touch of hops in the finish.

(Bottle). Sweet malty aroma, and some tartness. Clear copper color with a substantial off-white head. Flavor is far less citrusy than an IPA, or even an American Pale. Instead, there’s a more malty breadiness, combined with subtle ripe fruits. Finish has just a touch of hoppy bitterness. Altogether, this was a pleasant surprise.

Deep copper color, tall head. Medium rich malt aroma, caramel, bread, with a bit of citrus and hops. Good malt flavor, somewhat light but strong caramel, medium hopping with a touch of citrus and pine, nicely balanced. A good Best Bitter-like beer, medium or lighter body, medium carbonation. Not really full-flavored but nicely balanced and generally light and tasty.

12 fl oz bottle via Lubiere, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma: Light tart fruits, wood, nutty, like Irish whiskey, apples, pears. Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation. Flav.: Lots of apple pomace and nuts, somewhat earthy, a touch peppery, other non-descript fruits, a bit of caramel; almost dry with some bitterness.

Seems fairly true to style, which is why it doesn’t do much for me.
