3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Berley31 (230) - - SEP 15, 2009
A: Poured on-tap with a very small head that quickly diminished to a thin film. The beer is a dark orange color, with a clear body with some slight haziness.
S: Lightly hoppy and some citrus... pretty much exactly what you’d expect from an APA.
T: Quite a nice flavor, coming across as citrusy at first, but then ending with a very nice, hoppy bitterness that sticks with you for a good amount of time after swallowing.
M: Medium-bodied, with a creamy/oily texture. Nice carbonation.
D: An easy-to-drink APA with good taste and mouthfeel. Nothing overly special, but still a very decent entry and probably my favorite Geary’s beer to date.

I love english beers, and this is a good clone of an english beer. I love the fruitiness of the yeast.

355mL thanks to Travlr. The pour is a deep, clear red with a medium beige head leaving excellent, sheety lace. Nose is malt husk, soap. Taste is suddy, mild floral tones and orange juice. Palate is hydrogen peroxide.

Aroma: fruity esters, leafy hops, some caramel, and a touch of acetone.
Taste: harsh hops -not bitter, just dry and thorny. Also some sour minerality and faint caramel malt.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 beerchugger (709) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - SEP 19, 2011
Pours golden and dark with a thin head. Slight aromas of hops, caramel malts, and a bit of earth in there as well. The hops aren’t quite as strong as I’d prefer, but then it is an English Pale Ale and this lives up to it’s style. The flavor is a little watery but also has a decent hop character to it as well. Slightly dry hoppy finish.

Clear amber with a strong white head an moderate lacing. Caramel and doughy bread aroma. Slight citrus hops highlights peek through the bready malts on the tongue. Medium body, nice ticklish carbonation, and the rich maltiness lingers. Extra points for the lobster on the label.

Bière de type pale ale de 4.5% d’alcool, étonnante, belle découverte, ressemble presque à une IPA, bien houblonné, dégusté sur la plage de Kennebunk.
