Pretty good, better than another Kolsch-ish beer I had earlier today. Nice body, subtle malting, even more subtle German style hopping, quite refreshing. Has some of that oiliness in the body that some bohemian pilsners seem to have.

Decent kolsch, but lots of things that were jsut bland. Low head, pale yellow color- which is good, but the flavor is lacking and there isnt enogh complex spicy tones which are good in a kolsch. Average summer brew.

clear amber colour, almost no head, fresh and hoppy, peach aroma, sweetness is followed by a robust bitterness, long dry hoppy finish

A quite refreshing beer. Many different subtle undertones, without being an overt fruit flavored beer. Highly reccomended!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 14, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2003 Release 2003: The pours a cloudless burnished copper color, the head pythonic in size, creamy in consistency, the color a winsome light tan and as it evanesces, the lace formed a satiny sheet to meld with the glass. Sweet malt dominates the fresh, crisp and quite sniffable nose, start is malt sweet, the top middling in its feel to the palate. Finish has a tolerable acidity, the hops perky in their spiciness, dry lingering aftertaste, another great summer session beer.

Malty, bit bitter. Odd taste I’m not keen on.

A lot of personality coming from a summer ale. I expected something lighter and crisper. Very one dimensional.

malty sweet aroma, golden color, little head. reminds me very much of a scottish ale, but lighter, different from most other summer ales I’ve tried, which is a plus
