2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dagimp (416) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2010
From a 12 oz into a jar... Pours a medium brown/blond. Three fingers of head which disappears quickly, leaving no lacing. Not much aroma. Mouthfeel is medium, slightly heavier than what I’d expect for a summer beer. Slightly bitter taste. Some, but not much hops and a little bit more malt than I expected too. An overall decent beer but nothing spectacular, even for a summer post-beach beer.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Elwood (1834) - Between a rock and a hard place, Virginia, USA - JUN 26, 2010
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from a mix 12 pack from Hannaford Grocery in Boothbay
It pours a deep golden orange with a small, frothy white head. The head subsides to a white ring around the edge of the glass. Spotty lacing gets left behind. A bit of wet cardboard, spice, grain, and vegetal note make up the nose. Hmmm. The flavor is an odd mix of light lemony bitterness, pale malt sweetness, and odd florals. The bitterness seems abrupt and doesn’t play well with the other flavors. This beer is at odds with itself and I am not sure who the winner is, but I know it isn’t me. The body is light with relatively soft carbonation and lingering, floral and bitter finish. A bit dry too. As I continue to drink this brew, it becomes marginally more tolerable, bordering on drinkable. Still, it’s not one I will be coming back too. A bit of a mess quite frankly.

WBF Richmond: Weak honey aroma. Clear amber. Light malt and marshmallow flavor. Tinny finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - MAY 27, 2010
From a trade courtesy of The Wheeman in Maine. This poured a gold with a copper tint, moderate white head and light lacing. Aroma is mostly malts. Medium body and light mouthfeel. The flavor is of carmel malts and the finish is dry and mildly bitter. Nothing fancy, but quite drinkable.

Bitter, hoppy, light. Not a bad beer for summer. I’ve had better from Maine, but it’d do in a pinch.

Nice for a hot day. Has a nice amber pour with a foamy head. The aroma is malty with a nice bit of pine and citrus. The flavor is old school beer. Malty with hops at the back end. Has a nice after taste. Finish is dry. Good stuff.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (3595) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2010
Bottle. Pours aclear, honey-gold. Very light, white head. Some caramel malt on the nose, along with some fruitiness. Flavor is reasonably sweet, some nice caramel notes, some bready sweetness. Finishes with some pleasant bittness, lightly earthy. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A pretty good beer; a bit more complex than your average summer ale.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ROGUE (1315) - Newark, Delaware, USA - NOV 11, 2009
12oz bottle. Poured a copper color with a decent sized lacey head. Aroma is malty, slightly toasted caramel, and a bit of vanilla. Big flavors of sweet malt, honey and vanilla, that give way to citrus hops through the finish.
