pours deep amber/red with small white head. aroma is rich caramel, a touch of earthy moss, sweetness and a bit of nuttyness. drinks with a thick body, dark caramel, moss/peat, sweet finish. pretty solid scotch ale.

12oz bottle. Small beige head atop dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, chocolate, caramel/molasses, light alcohol/turpentine. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel/chocolate, alcohol/turpentine, some nut. Medium-full body, low carbonation.

dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is boozy fruits. cherry and raisin. toffee Flavour is roasted maltiness, dried cherry fruitiness, certainly some alc there but not overpowering. cocoa tones in the finish as well and light slightly bitter coffee.

12oz bottle. Poured a deeper reddish-brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, some dark fruitiness, and some earthiness. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, toffee, earthy, and peaty.

Bottle. Very surprised at how good this was considering the cheap price. Nice notes of malt, chocolate and some dried fruit.

12 oz. - The Wine Source. Dark brown, tan creamy head. Soft buttery cherry tobacco aromas warm to lighter swirls of toffee malt and molasses. Dried plum and cherry flavors round with hints of a sweet caramel butter. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dried dark fruit finish. Decent, but could use some more peat smoke-like notes...

first whiff reminded me of belhaven, but on taste, has a wicked kick and just enough flavour to cover that high abv. love it!

12oz bottle courtesy of dkachur. Pours a clear deep brown with a one finger tan head. The nose is dark fruit, caramel, light tobacco and cocoa. The taste is burnt smoky malt, peat, chocolate covered raisins and bitter hops in the finish. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel. Good Scotch Ale. Thanks Dan!
