3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (23984) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 28, 2005
An orange beer with an extremely fast disappearing bubbly head. The aroma is sweet caramelic, and light notes of alcohol and hops, but also with a slight sour note - a little like sweaty feet. The flavor is sweet alcohol with powerful hop notes.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Oakes (10196) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 6, 2003
Bronze colour. Aroma is raspberry, butter, earthy hops – holy Ringwood! Candyish flavour. Sweet and fruity. Astringent minerally note. Finish grows more bitter, but not enough to save it. Based on this and other recent Geary samples, I think maybe they’ve lost control of their yeast. This is ugly.

12oz bottle-pours an off white head and copper color with effervescence. Aroma is mild medium fruit, some spice. Taste is medium fruit, some spice/earthy/wood-hops-peppery, medium malt-a bit of molasses. Occasional. OK carbonation.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Lubiere (7001) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2006
An hazy orange amber ale with a thin white head. Lightly sprucey hops with light alcohol notes. In mouth, a dry IPA , not sweet, with very herbal hops, with the alcohol coming after, like drinking gin. Astringent. A tad unpleasant.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 CaptainCougar (6835) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 24, 2008
Pours a transparent golden bronze with a thin-lacing white head. Aroma of semi-dry grainy malts with a touch of grapefruity hops. Body starts thin and mostly dry with some earthy bitterness and a drier finish. Needs more sweetness and flavor hops with less bittering hops.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 6, 2004
Buttery oranges quarrying light hops worrying under the creamy yeast burying anything interesting from the quiet ending...This endeavour of subdued flour is in favour of faint peppery spiciness whilst being unable of any fervour...Apart from the fact that it is bottled for winter, I don't see what's wintery about this IPA/mellow Belgian ale crossover...
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sammy (6129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2006
Not significant head, golden colour, a good floral and spice aroma and spicy aftertaste. The golding and fuggle hops are understated. Appropriate carbonation. Cross style to a winter warmer. mouthfeel on the thin side.I am surprised this was on clearance at Belmont Part Goods in Dayton, maybe it was last year’s, but it was good value.
