Pours thick, white...milky and looking like guava juice or soghum beer. Nigori is fun to look at. Aroma of bubblegum, pear, peach, yeast. Smooth palate is sweet, sugary rice with light fruit notes and a hint of tartness late. With nigiri it demonstrates a lively, fruity, milky character. Scores bonus points for drinkability...for something that doesn’t look terribly approachable it sure tastes approachable.

A collection of haikus/ Had with a good friend, We chose something that looked fun, Frosted, green, and small. / Filled with mist and clouds, It coats the glass in debris, Could this be the yeast? / It’s cold; smell is faint, Pear, lactose, melon and rice, Smells like a ginjo. / Fruity on the tongue, But there’s something very strange, Tastes like Kaopectate! / Could be heresy, Drinking this milky sake, I should drink junmai.

300mL Bottle: Thick milky white, nose of starch, fart, butter, paper and alcohol. The mouthfeel is minerally, chalky, thick, rich with proteins. The flavor is decent, a bit light in alcohol than the taste would give you, but we’re talking 2/3rds the usual ABV and with a horrible sewage aroma. Meh, sweet, chalky. Bad. I can’t stand this crap.

Without a doubt, unfiltered. Chalky white with a light pink hue, or maybe that is just some ambient color being picked up. Not sure. Chalks up the side of the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Hints of alcohol but not as prominent as with other sakes that I have had. The flavor is fruity and alcoholic. A sourness comes in a shakes things up a bit. The mouthfeel is interesting. Chalky, not thick though. In the end I am not a big fan and am too ignorant to establish this in the pantheons of sake as either good or bad.

Pours a coconut milky color that coats the glass with particles when agitated. Aroma of melon, alcohol, some rice. Taste is much the same, somewhat sweet with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is somewhat chalky--though it doesn’t taste chalky--from the low filtration and kinda watery. Nothing really spectacular with this guy.

Interesting look, as the waiter shook this at the table. Shape shifting pour. Aroma was muted, with tropical fruit being at the fore. Flavor was good with muskmelon, rice, with a hard liquor burn.

Served chilled and shaken. Milky white, leaves a chalky residue on the sides of the glass. Aroma of canteloupe, coconut, and rice. Thick chalky mouthfeel. Green grape sourness, rice, and alcohol flavor. Very interesting, and very a very different experience. I would drink this again.

300mL green screwtop bottle. Poured into a small glass it’s milky white, similar in appearance to a chalky antacid - it looks a bit thick, grainy almost, like a watery rice or potato mash. Semi-sweet aroma of some grapes, creamy oats and milk. Moderately sharp alcohol in the nose as well. Coats the mouth with a chalky, almost gritty semi-thick residue, although the body remains quite thin. It’s sweet, moderately harsh, somewhat milky but mostly chalky. Not that bad actually, I like how the sweetness and the sour chalkyness are competing.
