A Mes rate: Cask at the Wenlock
Mid brown with a slight white head. Hoppy and grassy with some slight malt. Nutty notes too. The malts are actually really nice. Bitter finish. Not bad.

On cask at The Paisley Beer Festival. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of pine, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. OK.

Cask @ random place near Hadrian’s Wall. Amber, clear, with thick sparkler head. Mildly hoppy aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Very bland beer but clean. Sweet simple malts. Not enough bitterness, but is not bad and is very drinkable.

Bottle. Golden brown with a small head. Aromas are grassy with citrus and peach. Some toffee malts with some woody notes. Flavours are toffee malts with light roast character. Nutty and dry with grapefruit bitterness and burnt toast on the finish. A nice traditional bitter.

Handpump, from cask,in the Gilded Lily, Carlisle. I’ve had this about 3 times now and I enjoy it the more I try it. Clean tasting on the palate, fairly dry and well-balanced. Pale brown in colour, good head retention (maybe due to swan neck dispense)
