Draft at Craft. Pours hazy medium poinkish with off-pink head. Nose is earthy tart cherry, mild lactose. Tastes tart, with an authentic cherry flavor, not Jolly Ranchery, and earthy sour notes. Medium palate heft, pretty lively, and a decenr fruit beer.

Growler at BCTC 2009 via Egajdzis- listed as Kriek I think? Pours a bright deepish pink/red with a fizzy head. Aroma is cherries, and cherry kool aid, slight acetic burn on the nose with some funk. Flavor is acetic as well- light sharp vinegar, cherry pie, sweet and sour cherries- and skin, light pitty tannic hint, light funk and mild sourness in the end. A bit thin overall.

Color is glowing red with medium clarity. Aroma is all that shitty kriek aroma that turned into vomit, just amateur nigh on the nose. Flavor has less of that vomit and just cherry candy that is a bit spiky. The vomit lingers in the aftertaste, but not badly. Eh, this was not impressive for my first General Lafayette beer. It has a long way to go to mimic anything related to a traditional lambic.
On tap in a real pint glass at Mugs Ale House

Slightly hazy amber with a distinct funky cherry aroma and taste that only bordered at medicinal. Tart and pretty well attenuated with a very palatable level of sour and funk.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of cherries, light funk, barnyard, light malts, and sweaty balls. Poured brown/deep amber/orange/magenta in color with a small, off-white/magenta, head that disappeared quickly. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of large and small particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly tart. Tastes of cherries, light funk, and some yeast. Medium body. Thin, dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Cherry and funk finish.

Jsawyer (297) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2009
Draught at the brewery. Pinkish amber body with a thin white head. Aroma is at once sweet cherry but not cloyingly so, acidic, wheaty, and slightly tart. Flavor is representative of aroma but noticeably balanced, neither cloyingly sweet nor overly tart. Personally I would’ve liked a little more tart but for a first time kriek I would easily say it surpasses lindmanns, although who can say how it would age.
