COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Some of the hops are from the west coast, but the beer rolls in true East Coast style. A stiff English malt backbone anchors our newest crack at the attempt to reach balanced beer perfection. The hop flavor is firm but not overpowering in what might very well become the new IPA standard.

A: Rich copper body, thick white head, good lacing on the glass S: Grapefruit-citrus tones characteristic of Cascade hops... like another reviewer hinted, what about it is east coast?... i guess it doesn’t have the abundant fresh piney character present in the west coast ipa’s i’ve come to love T: Much like the nose... caramel comes through a bit more than the aroma, otherwise much is the same.. grapefruit bitternes, some floral notes at the end M: Smooth, medium body, nice bite O: A good drinker... its almost a cross of an american ipa and a british ipa in terms of malt presence .. a good brew to enjoy at the Inn or at the new Tiedhouse

(11/12/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Lafayette Hill. Hazy amber. Tastes of some slightly bready malt and hops - slightly earthy, slightly floral. Medium-bodied.

Amber color with a medium head. Aroma is mildly hoppy with some grainy/caramel malt to go with some mild floral hops. Flavor is hoppy with some floral undertones and quite smooth with a good maltiness. Nice finish. Certainly milder than most IPAs, and sometimes thats a good thing.

Bitterness is present in East Coast IPA just not as overpowering the beer as a West Coast style IPA would be. Medium body with a malt presence to back up the hops.
