nhorween (488), New York, New York, USA Dec 30, 2006 Draft. It was dark in the bar, but a deep amber colored with a creamy head. Bitter and hugely hoppy, like a IIPA without the sweetness. Smooth and crisp, but not balanced. I enjoyed it. DocLock (4047), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 5, 2005 Draft over Christmas. Slightly cloudy dark straw colored with a creamy white head and great lace. Aroma of big hops, malt, slight green tea. Tastes hoppy, malty, with a green tea essence. Medium palate. Crisp and smooth finish, but needs a tad more balance. hopdog (4444), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2005 On tap at the GLI. Poured a medium hazy orangish color with a smaller off white head. Citric aroma and tastes (oranges). Nice hoppy, bitter finish. dberger624 (1029), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 3, 2005 Draft at the brewery. Nice IPA. Had a good dry hop bite to it. JF_GRIND (1199), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 26, 2002 Second holiday beer this year from the General Lafayette. I wouldn’t call this beer a clone of Celebration Ale, but it’s close in taste and hop bitterness. I had this on draft and cask version, liked the cask version better for the extra bitterness.
