I loved this beer. The aroma it gives off is one almost of a fine wine. It pours a beautiful dark amber red with a minimal light tan head. On the palate I found this beer to be smooth, laced with a fine caramel and spicy enough to make me want more and more. A great beer that would be good for any special occasion.

Jun 8, 2008 on tap-pours an off white head and hazy orange/amber color. Aroma is medium malt, some ‘Irish Metallic’ hops. Taste is medium malt-caramel/peat/nutty, some ‘Irish Metallic’ hops.

May 3, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pours deep amber red with an off white head. Flavor of maple, caramel, and toasted malts that is countered by a spicy bitterness. There is some diacetyl on the finish.

Apr 8, 2008 Draft. Poured a nice deep amber red body with thin head. Aroma is sweet caramel, hops. Flavor is a light sweet malty body, caramel and light lemony citrus. This was a great sipper and a very smooth body to it. One of the best Amber’s I have ever had.

Mar 19, 2008 Growler: Poured a dark hazy amber color with a medium head. The aroma was nice with hint of caramel malts. The flavor was mally and sweet with a nice balance and finish. Overall I was please, as this was one you could drink a few and not get tired.

Feb 10, 2008 Pours a very cloudy amber. Flavor is evenly balanced. Nice level of malts with almost a caramel covered apple tone to the flavor. Feel has a full carbonation and a good liquid bodt as well. This is very easy to drink and I could easily have gone for more.
