COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We commemorate our involvement in the Terra Madre world Slow Food conference held in Turin, Italy October 20-23, 2004. We've created an amber lager, aggressively hopped to 40 IBU with imported German hops. We've also dry-hopped (for aroma) the brew with 3 pounds of whole flower hops (of unknown origin, probably Fuggle) grown here at the General Lafayette Inn. This is a one-time brew that exemplefies the spirit of creativity, diversity, and local flavor that is Slow Food.

Very nice amber. Nicely balanced in it’s flavor with the malt and hops playing off of each other nicely. To steal a line from Austin POwers it was "a bit nutty". Very drinkable so much that I had 3 with my dinner one evening and didn’t order anything else.

Quite drinkable amber lager. Nice blend of malt and hop bitterness. Had a nut flavor, and a spiced hop undertone. Even at 6% alcohol I believe this is a good session beer.

On tap at GLI. Copper colored with medium head. Aroma is malt, hops (definite Fuggle presence), fruit. Taste overtones of malt, hops, fruit, and slight nuts were detected. Medium palate.

Poured a reddish amber color with a small off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Sweet caramel, malty aroma. Taste was nicely hopped, with nuts, caramel and woody notes. Lightly carbonated.

On tap at the General Lafayette. Poured a medium amber color with a small off white head. Subtle aromas and tastes of hops (floral with some citrus). I enjoyed this one (it was quite drinkable with no overpowering aromas or tastes).
