COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Can’t go wrong by pleasin’ the hop-heads! Dry-hopped with two English hop varieties, this brew has less caramel sweetness with more hop flavor than our usual IPA’s. Possibly our favorite IPA that we’ve made, this baby packs a punch in a tasty, balanced package. 75 IBU

Poured a hazy brownish orange color with a thin, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, grass, and faint citrus. Taste was sweet, lightly buttery, toffee, and a strong hop bitterness, dry finish.

Pours hazy deep coppery with aroma of floral esters, resiny hops, citrus. Tastes hoppy, with citrus, caramel malt, fruit. I have yet to taste a subpar GLI beer. This one is a very good IPA.

Maybe the hophead in me is waning. Lots of hop flavor, I agree with Shag this IPA is one dimensional.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2005 A dark yellow appearance. A very strong lemon and hop presence. This one is extremely bitter but its a little one dimensional. Good one for the hopheads like me.

On tap at General Lafayette. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Hoppy/citric aroma (oranges) with grapefruits in the taste. Has a nice bitter bite to it.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2005 Revised 4/22. I’ve been told that the saltiness / bite comes from the english hops (target, ekg, fuggles). I had erroneously read the board as it being a west coast IPA - it’s not - it’s English. That being said, my original, overly salty review is now revised. This should be compared to english IPAs, not West Coast Americans and my ratings are totally off on it.
I will be going back to the general shortly to re-taste one with the correct frame of mind.
