I also have to give this 5 stars. Funk and I routinely got shit faced over the summer drinking this shit. Hey it may not taste complex or appeal to the seasoned beer lover but it will bring any beer drinker back to their roots.

Had to give it 5 stars because of family history. This was the beer my dad would drink in his youth in olean NY. He told me stories about how he and his friends would get drunk off the stuff and them piss in the lake whos water was used in brewing Genesee. I acually just tried it last summer and it was decent enough.

It pains me to rate this beer so low. Years ago, this was the first beer I ever drank, and connote it with all those times back in high school and college. Well times have changed and so has my taste in beer. Genny is mild flavored, carbonated, somewhat bland brew. It goes down smooth.

A major influence in my upbringing, Genesee is a beer with acres of character. Its better than most cheap beers because it doesn’t taste actively bad, just nonchalantly bland. Gets you whacked.
