UPDATED: JAN 20, 2013 Poured from 16 ounce can at MOTR Pub at Scrawl concert on September 15, 2012. Light gold color, small white head that quickly vanished with little lacing, unpleasant smell of cheap perfume and wet cardboard, taste like the aroma but without the wet cardboard and with some astringency. If youíre low on cash, Genny Light and Genesee Cream Ale are much better options.

generallee08 (756) - New York, USA - APR 25, 2015
Presentation: It was poured from a tall 24oz can into a tall mug. Appearance: The body has a nice deep yellow to light golden color with great clarity. Up top a quickly fading bright white head settles down to just a thin ring of foam at the edge of the glass. Smell: Not much to say here, just some light grassy and wet hay like hops with some corn flake like cereal notes. Taste/Feel: On the palate it slides right down with an average easy drinking light feel. It has the classic American Adjunct Lager flavor, leaning more to the corn like cereal like sweetness. This quickly drys out in the finnish. Notes: This is an average cheap blue collar/retro beer and one that I have had many of.

DATE TASTED: January 11, 2015... GLASSWARE: Ommegang pokal... OCCASION: cataloging my beers of the year--slow-motion spread sheet fun... APPEARANCE: glittering, shimmering golden body; snow white head that frizzles swiftly; sudsy inadequate residue... AROMA: toasty, oaty malts that pluck the nostrils; a secondary biscuit and sweet malts; slightly pungent finish... PALATE: oily, slightly effervescent; overall, a clean glass-emptying kind of lager ...TASTE: sweet, corny and grainy, with a malty base; not very balanced, with the ping that suggests a 40 oz.... OVERALL: when it was 36 cans for $10 (with a $5 mail-in rebate), it was a winner; now, its primary function is lining the top part of my beer fridge to keep its coldness; a mostly tolerable, predictable, unimpressive lager that only goes well after a few better beers have been consumed...

MacBoost (1488) - Pouring Bus, New York, USA - DEC 5, 2014
"Genny Red Eye" itís called here. Another prototypical pale lager. Low boost. Has the genesee house character of heavy metallic notes and off tastes of metal and dirt. Horrific. Fizzy yellow pour, high carb, low body, low taste. Terrible.

Sweet corn aroma with a whisper of malt in the background. Clear pale yellow body with a frisky head that does linger for a while. Hard to grasp flavor cause it fades quick. I sense a trace of creamy malt with creamy but lively mouth feel. Leaves you with clean finish like it was hardly there to begin with. Need a cheap beer for chugging, frat parties, girl(or guy) dumped you or any other occasion taste is an after thought than this is the one. Not bad tasting just donít expect a lot.

"possibly nostalgia is causing me to rate this bottle of beer, but many were put down playing softball or baseball in upstate NY, and it wasnít too bad in the summer heat. not really a "good" beer, but i wasnít as much of a snob then as i am now."

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2014 Poured a chilled 1 into a 12 oz. beer mug from a 355 ml can; color of a very light gold; minimal layer of head; sparse effervescence; kinda bland tasting, to me; overall, however, one of the liquor establishments i visit had a 30 pack that @ like forty 4 pennies a can; a solid, inexpensive new york state of mind brew. as an aside, Rochester had one of the most best jazz music stations that one could listen to during very late night (and thanks to AM skip) in mid-america, during that last century.

Eructoblaster (3336) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 30, 2014
Bottle - 355ml. Bland, pale blond body with heavy carbonation and an instantly fading white bubbly head. Weak malty/hoppy aroma with corny hints. Its thin taste carries some metallic and rotten grass notes. Finish is non-existent. Useless.

No aroma whatsoever! Kinda resembles a beer in appearance - has a soft white head that lasts for more than a minute. The taste isnít off putting but there just isnít anything going on. It almost has a beer feel on the palate. W/ all that being said, itís still a piss pour beer!

Another after hockey beer. Reviewed from notes. With this one, Iíve mainly only ever had this out of the can, but there were a couple times I was inquisitive enough to sport several home to see what they looked like and that has always been a pint glass. The appearance was a clear yellow color with no head ever. A vast array of rapidly rising carbonated bubbles were seen rising. The smell was basically nothing. Iíve never gotten anything from this. The taste was metallic and somewhat corn sweet. Thereís a metallic aftertaste with no finish. The palate, it sat exceptionally light. Overall, well, I donít drink this anymore and Iíll leave it at that.
