2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cheapdark (2964) - Quiptown & Central Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2008
From a 16 oz can we call a pounder. This stuff is only 50 cents a 16 oz can over in ohio. That’s a dollar a quart! Drank lots of Jenny back in the days of youth, I wonder if it is the same recipe? The aroma is clean yet has perhaps a hint of something I may call cream corn, but just barely. Has a head that is more attractive than most of your pale lagers. Good clean taste impact, Not offensive and there is no sign of bitterness or offensiveness at all. Enjoyable, fun and easy to get along with. Has a tight palate that comes across as playful at times. Nice session brew. Even tho the color of this is ubiquitous pale yellow american beer it has a continuing rolling carbonation that is readily apparent and sustains the head. For this I’ll give it a 2 instead of a 1 in the appearance category. Easy drinking session brew, just as good as I remember. Very good above average carbonation, welcomed tingliness. Finish is easy to accept and fortunately does not leave any undesirable preservative finish. Not bad!

Pale yellow color. Aroma of grains and corn. Taste is full of cereal grains, not very, pleasant. Price point would be the only thing this beer really has going for it.

Pours a clear yellow with a thin white head. It has an aroma of straw and grass, and is a fairly typical clean pale lager. The taste is similar, slightly grainy with some straw and grass. It’s on par with pretty much every other American pale lager, not great but few if any real flaws.

Corn grits to the max! And not that bad-as far as US macros go, this IS underappreciated. For the value, it is unsurpassed and the flavor isnt too bad considering the class. If youre going to go corn, might as well go gene. Id choose this for $12/30 pk any day over the competition.

355ml can, 4.5% a/v
Standard pale lager appearance. Gold color, bubbly with a white head. Smells citrusy. Tastes fairly watery, a bit like corn. Goes down fairly smooth as well. Not bad for the price actually.

Well this was pretty much what I thought beer tasted like when I was 14. It brought me back. It was not bad, nor was it incredibly good, but it was 99 cents for a 24oz can which I like. Grainy, some corn, light grass nose and aroma. Cool nondescript can that hipsters would like.
