2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can. Caramel malt and light astringent alcohol aroma. Dark amber color with small head. Lightly sweet caramel malt flavor with a hint of alcohol astringency. Very light but is actually a reasonable dunkler bock.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can (12oz). Do NOT look at this can hung over. Just don’t. Pours a very attractive bright refractive burnt copper with a decent sized fizzy off-white foamy head - even some nice Queen Anne’s lacing left behind - 4/5 for a Genny - go figure! There some roast in the aroma, grain and even some floral bitterness, but it’s ... somehow not really "there" - a bit weedy, if you follow me. The taste is light and simple - sweet caramel papery malt, some vague bitterness I can’t really attribute to anything specific, and weird aftertaste that won’t go away, like pesticide residue or something. Thin, flat and slick/sticky mouthfeel, a little alcohol burn in the tail, moderately harsh aftertaste. Kind of a roasty malt likkah, perhaps.

As far a traditional bock beer goes this one is just putrid. Just a horrible beer when compared to a real bockbier.

Sampled from 12-oz can and shared by Guerde. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly disappears clean. Aroma of caramel malt, some light corn, floral hops and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, floral hops and a touch of pear. Finish is semi-sweet and then a lingering corn sweetness.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep copper pour with a fluffy off white head and lace. Aroma is medium caramel malt with a light hint of sour. Flavor is light caramel malt that tries to be sweet but ends up being almost dry. Not much bitter but a tad. Finishes pretty clean but is a tad foamy and thin for my liking. Overall a very drinkable beer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Unique stubby little grenade-type bottle with a twist cap. Nose sweet and slightly skunked, reminds of normal Genny! Deep copper-mahogany body, still transparent, with a short tan head. Taste is lightly sweet without matching bitterness, faint caramel and stronger earth and toffee, grainy, but on the whole, not very flavorful. Not particularly clean, either. Softish malty medium body. I’ve had much worse, can easily down a few of these, and will continue to think about buying them every time they come up for sale at $5/sixer.
